SHEFFIELD, MA : 1 killed in Sheffield crash, driver at fault faces charges on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019

One person was killed in a crash on Wednesday afternoon near the Connecticut state line and a second person is expected to face charges in the fatal collision.

Sheffield Police and several units from the Massachusetts State Police, including detectives assigned to the Berkshire County District Attorney, responded to the crash that took place near 199 Canaan Road, said Dennis Yusko, spokesman for District Attorney Andrea Harrington."The driver at fault will be arraigned soon in southern Berkshire District Court," Yusko said.

Law enforcement officials have not released the name of the victim yet because they are still trying to notify family members, he said.

The name of the driver who was at fault in the accident and the charges the suspect faces are currently being withheld while police continue their investigation, Yusko said.
