Melbourne, FL : Bicyclist injured after being hit by car in Melbourne on Wednesday, March 18, 2015

A Brevard County man is in critical condition after witnesses said he was thrown 20 feet in the air when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle.
A large dent could be seen on a red Acura that allegedly hit the 20-year-old man on Pineapple Avenue in Melbourne.
“He went 20 to 25 feet in the air like a rag doll. Things were flying everywhere, his backpack, the whole nine yards,” said witness Shawn Rowley.
Witnesses rushed to help and stayed with the victim until officers arrived.
There’s still no word on whether the driver of the car will face any charges.
