West Palm Beach, FL : Man, 61, killed in crash at the intersection with Military Trail on Sunday, 23rd February, 2020

A 61-year-old man died on Sunday morning in a car crash on Okeechobee Boulevard at the intersection with Military Trail in suburban West Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities identified the man as Raymond Scott Markley of Royal Palm Beach.

According to the accident report, Markley, who was traveling in a GMC Yukon SUV eastbound on Okeechobee just before 10 a.m. made a slow right turn into the center lane of Military Trail and stopped approximately 100 feet south of the intersection.

A 2017 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Dorothy Ellis of West Palm Beach, turned into the outside lane. As she was passing by Markley’s SUV, he acclerated and began a right turn, hitting the rear corner of Ellis’ Elantra, according to the report.
