Tulsa, OK : Twelve-vehicle wreck on U.S.75 at Peoria Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, April 7, 2015
Tulsa authorities say they have shut down part of a highway after an oil spill that caused about a dozen vehicles to crash.
Fire Capt. Stan May tells the Tulsa World that hydraulic fluid spilled from a truck heading north on U.S. 75 on Tuesday afternoon. The spill near the Peoria Avenue exit caused a series of wrecks behind the truck.
Authorities say the northbound lanes of the highway will likely be closed during the evening rush hour.
May says at least one person was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
It's unclear what caused the spill.
