Connie Jean Holloman was pronounced dead at the scene. Donald Holloman was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne of the S.C. Highway Patrol said the deadly crash happened five miles north of Easley.
Rhyne said the Hollomans were in 2015 Dodge van and wearing seat belts.
A 33-year-old Greenville man was driving a 2005 F-150. There was a passenger inside the truck. Both men were taken to a hospital. It's unknown if they were wearing seat belts, according to Rhyne.
The couple was headed north on Highway 183 when the man in the truck tried to swerve and avoid a turning car, crossed the center line, and hit the Hollomans head on, Rhyne said.
