Nevada City ,CA : Josie Sisley charged with DUI after crashing into parked car on Tuesday evening ,May 26th 2015
A Nevada City woman was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence Tuesday after crashing into a parked car on Broad Street in Nevada City.
According to Nevada City Police, around 6 p.m. Tuesday, Josie Sisley was driving east on the 200 block of Broad Street in a white Cadillac Escalade.
The allegedly intoxicated driver veered off the road and crashed into an Audi parked in front of the Mine Shaft, a local bar.
Nevada City Police and local fire units responded to the scene and found Sisley’s vehicle partially on top of the Audi.
“Officers contacted the driver and started doing DUI evaluations on her, due to the odor of alcohol,” said Sgt. Paul Rohde. “At that point she was placed under arrest.”
Sisley, 36, was booked on a DUI misdemeanor charge and placed on a $10,000 bail. She is currently not in custody.
According to Rohde, Sisley drove up on top of the parked car and due to the momentum, caused the Audi to collide into the car parked in front of it and created a domino effect that damaged a total of four parked cars in the vicinity.
“She said she was distracted, but she didn’t elaborate,” Rohde added.
Sisley was driving with her 3-year-old son in the back seat who was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported due to the crash. Rohde would not release
