Cottage Grove,MN : Minor injuries reported in Woodbury rollover crash on March, Thursday 29th 2018

A two-car crash Thursday evening in Woodbury was so violent that one of the vehicles came to rest on its roof.

But the accident, which occurred shortly before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Road and Radio Drive, resulted in only minor injuries, Woodbury Public Safety spokesperson Michelle Okada said.

According to the incident report, the driver of a Honda Acura was eastbound on Lake Road and entered the intersection as the light was turning yellow. The Acura was then struck on its rear passenger side by a car that was traveling northbound on Radio Drive. The force of the collision rolled the northbound car onto its roof. The female driver was later cited for failure to drive with due care.

An ambulance that was called to scene was cancelled. Airbags were deployed.

The crash closed the westbound lane of Lake Road for a short time. There was no indication of distracted driving or that drugs or alcohol were involved, Okada said.
