Wilmington, DE : 18-year-old man injured in multi-vehicle crash in Iron Hill early Monday night, August 22, 2016
An 18-year-old man was seriously injured in a crash early Monday night in Iron Hill, according to New Castle County Paramedics.
Emergency responders were called at about 5:50 p.m. to the area of Old Baltimore Pike and Four Seasons Parkway for a report of a crash with entrapment, said Cpl. David McKinney Jr., a spokesman with the county paramedics.
The multi-vehicle crash left one man trapped inside his vehicle, McKinney said, where he remained for about 15 minutes until personnel could remove him.
He was treated on scene for injuries to his lower extremities and a possible hip injury, McKinney said. He was then flown by state police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. He was admitted in serious but stable condition, he added.
