Rowan County, NC : Pedestrian was walking in middle of road when struck, killed on NC 152 on early Thursday morning June 26th 2014

Troopers blocked a highway in Rowan County, N.C., early Thursday morning after a truck driver hit and killed a pedestrian.
They say the victim was walking on Highway 152 west of Rockwell around 5:30am when the truck hit him.
Troopers told Eyewitness News the man was intoxicated and walking in the road between Happy Lake Road and Old Concord Road. They reopened the road just before 7am.
Investigators were waiting to release the victim's name.
