Michigan City, IN : Truck driver arrested after fatal moped crash on Thursday, July 31, 2014

A northern Indiana man has been arrested after police say his pickup truck struck and killed a moped driver. Michigan City police say 29-year-old Jordan Dant died at the scene Thursday. Police say Dart, of Michigan City, pulled out of the Sand Trap Lounge into the path of a truck driven by 40-year-old Ryan Garrett. The South Bend Tribune reports that Garrett was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated causing death. He was released from LaPorte County Jail after posting $2,500 cash bond.
