Roanoke, VA : Person dies in crash on Interstate 81 in Pulaski County on Sunday September 18 2016

A crash on Interstate 81 in Pulaski County claimed the life of one person early Sunday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.
A tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle collided about 1 p.m. in the northbound lanes near mile marker 94, authorities said.
State police confirmed that one person was killed, but no identification or other information was immediately released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, officials said.
