Sacramento, CA : One person and critically injured another on Thursday, October, 19th 2017
A collision on Highway 126 involving a semitrailer and two other vehicles killed one person and critically injured another Thursday morning, officials said.
The crash was reported just before 7 a.m. on eastbound Highway 126 in Ventura, east of Kimball Road, authorities said.
City of Ventura Fire Department personnel responded to the crash and found that a semi had jackknifed off the roadway while a pickup struck a tree, officials said.
The driver of the semi, an adult male, became trapped in the vehicle but was pulled out by fire personnel using hydraulic tools, officials said.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, officials said.
