CHARLOTTE, NC : Crash closes lanes on I-85 North in Mecklenburg County on Sunday, 19th May 2024

All lanes of I-85 North were closed near Exit 40 in Charlotte after a crash on Sunday.
The crash happened around 1 p.m., according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. One person was seriously injured in the crash, according to Medic.
All lanes were closed in the area for around three hours because of the crash. The road reopened just before 4 p.m.
