St. Johns County, FL : Fatal wreck in St. Johns County on State Road 207 just west of Interstate 95 on Wednesday, 29th January, 2020

One person is dead after a semitrailer and another vehicle hit each other on State Road 207 just west of Interstate 95 this morning, said Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Dylan Bryan.

As of about 4:15 p.m., all lanes of S.R. 207 were open.

The wreck happened about 11 a.m. around Cypress Links Boulevard after a vehicle attempted a u-turn through a grass median in front of a semi-trailer, Bryan said.

“That’s where they struck practically head on, obviously killing the driver of the ... smaller vehicle,” he said.

The other driver had no injuries, Bryan said.

The Florida Highway Patrol has not yet released the names of those involved.
