Millersburg, IN : Man killed as 2 bicyclists hit by SUV on rural northern Indiana highway on Monday, October 13, 2014

Officials say a man was killed when he and another bicyclist were hit before dawn by an SUV on a rural highway in northern Indiana. The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says the crash happened about 4:30 a.m. Monday on Indiana 13 near the small town of Millersburg, with the northbound SUV hit the bicyclists from behind. The department says 26-year-old Devon Lehman of Goshen was pronounced dead at the scene. Thirty-year-old Loren Wingard of Millersburg was grazed by the vehicle and not hurt. The 43-year-old driver of the SUV stopped at the scene about 30 miles southeast of South Bend. The department says the circumstances of the crash remained under investigation.
