GRIMES COUNTY, TX : Multiple accidents shut down SH 90 from FM 3455 all the way into Anderson on Saturday, 27th April 2024

An update on the four vehicle crash on State Highway 90 near 447 that closed 90 for hours on Saturday. It happened just before 5:00 PM.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers say the preliminary investigation shows a 2016 Honda Accord was traveling southbound, failed to control its speed, and hit a 2016 Lexus ES350 from behind. That caused the Lexus to go into the northbound lanes, striking a 2022 Tesla and a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox.

DPS says the driver of the Honda was flown by medical helicopter to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
