A woman killed in a single-vehicle wreck Tuesday night in Forrest County has been identified.
Forrest County Deputy Coroner Jonathan Nobles identified the victim as Shanice McGowen, 18, of Petal. He listed her cause of death as head trauma.
McGowen, who was a passenger, was ejected from the vehicle. Forrest County Sheriff's Department spokesman Nick Calico said it is unclear whether she was wearing a seat belt.
Forrest County Sheriff's deputies responded to the wreck on Davis Road in the Sunrise community.
The vehicle apparently was traveling north on Davis Road when the driver lost control and ran off the road, Calico said.
"The vehicle then overturned what is to believed to be at least twice," he said.
The female driver and two male passengers did not appear to have any serious injuries.
The incident, including the cause of the wreck, is still under investigation.
