Brightwood, OR : Drivers severely injured in two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 on Wednesday July 30th 2014
One person suffered critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 26 in Clackamas County on Wednesday.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on the highway near East Wildwood Avenue in the Brightwood area at 3:35 p.m.
Police said the crash involved a pickup and a car. After the collision, the pickup rolled over.
The driver of the truck suffered serious injuries and was taken to OHSU in an ambulance.
The driver of the car was trapped and had to be rescued before being flown on a medical helicopter to Oregon Health & Science University with injuries described as critical.
By 5 p.m., the highway was open to one lane of traffic.
Investigators are still working to determine what led to the crash.
