Salem man killed in motorcycle crash with pickup identified

A man who was killed when his motorcycle collided with a truck in Marion County was identified on Saturday as Roger Lambert, 54, of Salem.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Lambert was riding northeast on Breitenbush Road near Detroit when he lost control and collided with a pickup around 6 p.m. Friday. Both the 2009 Yamaha motorcycle and the 1999 Toyota Tacoma caught fire.
Lambert was declared dead at the scene.Neither of the pickup's occupants, driver Zachary Mauser, 22, of Scio, and Mary Chapman, 18, of Lebanon, were injured.Breitenbush Road is a popular route for motorcyclists for its sharp turns and sudden drops, the sheriff's office said.The Marion County Sheriff's Office is continuing this investigation.
