Williams County, OH : 2 die in 3-vehicle crash on U.S. 6 at Williams County Road 23 on Wednesday, 18th July 2018

A man and woman died Wednesday in a crash involving three vehicles in Williams County, Ohio.

Richard Keeterle, 48, and Laura Buchholz, 59, both of Defiance, died in the crash that occurred about 4 p.m. on U.S. 6 at Williams County Road 23, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Keeterle was driving a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee east on U.S. 6 when he was struck head-on in the eastbound lane by a westbound semi driven by Joseph Gonzalez, 50, of Cleveland, police said.

Rick Davis, 64, of Wauseon, Ohio was driving a 1988 Fort Mustang west on U.S. 6. While slowing to turn south on County Road 23, Davis was struck from behind by the semi driven by Gonzalez, pushing both vehicles left of center on U.S. 6, police said.
