THROOP, NY : A fatal accident in Cayuga County on Tuesday, November, 14th 2017

The New York State Police are investigating a fatal accident in Cayuga County.

A one-vehicle accident was reported at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday in Throop, according to New York State Police incident records. The crash happened on Turnpike Road near Day Road.

Troopers identified Michael F. Murray, 57, of Auburn, as the driver of the vehicle. He died after the crash, according to state police records.

Troopers could not immediately be reached for comment.
