A Delhi man was killed after losing control of his vehicle in Richland Parish.

Louisiana State Police say 96-year-old James Coleman was driving a 1996 Toyota Tacoma west on Cook Road shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, about 2 miles south of the town. Investigators say the vehicle traveled off the road, struck a ditch embankment and began to overturn.

Cook, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
