Gaston, OR : Three people injured in semi-truck and an SUV crash on Highway 47 Thursday morning September 24 2015.
Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a crash between a semi-truck and an SUV on Highway 47 (Tualatin Valley Highway).
Oregon State Police say a BMW SUV was traveling northbound on Highway 47 when the driver crossed over the center line and struck a southbound Ford truck loaded with corn head-on. The truck then struck a Subaru Legacy and rolled on top of it.
The driver of the BMW was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The drivers of the Subaru and the Ford truck were also hospitalized, but both are expected to be OK.
The highway was closed for more than five hours to allow crews to cleanup about 50 gallons of spilled diesel.
