Leeds, ME : Four injured in multi-car crash on Hwy. 51 at Hwy. 60 in the Township of Leeds on Thursday, 2nd August 2018

Four people were injured in a Thursday morning crash in the Town of Leeds.

On Thursday, Aug. 2, at 7:25 a.m. the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received 911 calls reporting a multiple vehicle crash located on Hwy. 51 at Hwy. 60 in the Township of Leeds.

The crash involved four vehicles at the intersection. A Honda CRV that was stopped in traffic attempting to turn eastbound onto Highway 60 from Highway 51/60 was rear ended by a Ford F-150 pickup. The Honda made contact with a Ford Explorer and a Buick LeSabre that were traveling past the intersection. Four people were transported by ambulance for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash appears to be due to inattentive driving. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office still has the incident under investigation.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Arlington Fire Department, Arlington EMS, Poynette EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, Columbia County Highway Department, Lodi Shell Towing, and Blystone’s Towing.
