ORANGEBURG, SC : Early morning head-on crash on I-26 claims two lives on Saturday, 7th September 2024

Two people are killed following a head-on collision that occurred early Saturday morning.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 4:20 am on I-26 eastbound near mile marker 159, about 5 miles east of Bowman, South Carolina.
Officials saythat while traveling eastbound on I-26 near mile marker 159, a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria was struck head-on by a 2003 Honda Odyssey van, traveling in the wrong direction, heading west on I-26 in the eastbound lanes.
The driver of the Ford Crown Victoria was pronounced dead and the passenger was transported to MUSC-Orangeburg for medical attention.
