Middletown,MO : Teens injured in Monroe County crash on August, Saturday 19th 2017

Two Moberly, Mo., residents were injured in a one-vehicle crash in Monroe County Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Emilie G. Tustison, 16, was driving a 2007 Ford Tauras westbound on Route M near Middle Grove about 11:08 p.m. when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

Tustison suffered minor injuries and told the highway patrol she would seek her own medical treatment. Her passenger, Alexus C. Hayes, 16, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Monroe County Ambulance to Moberly Regional Medical Center.

Both were wearing seat belts, and the Tauras sustained extensive damage.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Department and volunteer fire department assisted the highway patrol.
