SPRINGFIELD, IL : Driver injured in I-91 crash on Tuesday, 26th March 2019

A driver was injured just before midnight Tuesday when his car went off the road and tore through sections of guardrail on Interstate 91 in Springfield.

According to Dennis Leger, aide to Fire Commissioner Bernard J. Calvi, the fire department was called to the scene near Exit 9 on I-91 North to aid state police in the removal of the driver from the wrecked vehicle.

The unnamed driver was transported by ambulance for treatment of injuries.
