St. Francis County, AR : Arkansas State Police identify the body of woman found on I-40 near Palestine on Wednesday, September 24, 2014

Following a three-day investigation, police have identified a body found along Interstate 40 in St. Francis County, Ark. According to Arkansas State Crime Lab, 35-year-old Amy Darlene Bandy many have been hit by a vehicle, resulting in her death. Special agents with state police are digging to find out where Bandy had been leading up to the fatal incident near Forrest City. They are also trying to develop leads to find the vehicle that struck her. A commercial truck driver called police Wednesday and said he saw a body near the 236 mile marker, lying outside the highway traffic lane. On her body, police found a tattoo of a rose that includes names Shannon, Samantha, and Denna. A pair of boots were found nearby. She doesn't match the description of any missing women in the area.
