MANTECA, CA : Motorcyclist dies at scene of Manteca crash in the 1100 block of West Lathrop Road on Sunday, 24th November, 2019

A motorcycle rider died Sunday evening following a crash with another vehicle in north Manteca, police reported.

Manteca police were informed of the crash in the 1100 block of West Lathrop Road, just east of North Union Road, about 6:47 p.m. When officers and medics arrived, they began life-saving measures. Unfortunately, the rider died at the scene, according to police.The rider has not been named pending positive identification and notification of next of kin by the San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene and was interviewed by officers. The Manteca police Major Accident Investigation Team was called in to conduct the ongoing investigation into the fatal accident. No further details were provided.
