Rockledge, FL : 3 sisters killed, 6 others injured in multivehicle I-95 crash in Brevard County on Sunday morning, January 4, 2015

Three people were killed in a crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County early Sunday morning.
Authorities said the crash happened about 1:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 in Rockledge.

The victims who died were identified as Kay Ferril, 64, of Rockledge; Willie Morgagne, 66, of Cocoa; and Rose Neal, 56, also of Cocoa.

Investigators said all of the vehicles involved were traveling north on I-95 when an Infiniti being driven by Leonardo Alvarez-Savageau, 39, of Springfield, Massachusetts, left the highway and struck a guardrail in the center median.

Officials said the Infiniti G35X then struck the front of a Hyundai Elantra being driven by Ferril, and a Toyota Camry being driven by George Cornejo, 25, of Hialeah Gardens, hit the rear of the Hyundai.

A Honda Accord being driven by Dimitri Vincent, 22, of Cocoa, also hit debris from the crash.

Alvarez-Savageau suffered serious injuries in the crash. A passenger in his car, Mary Vanassee, 26, suffered critical injuries. A second passenger, Shayla Davis, 24, suffered serious injuries. Both of the passengers were also from Springfield.

Morgagne and Neal were traveling in Ferril's vehicle. A third passenger in that car, Barbara Thomas, 66, of Cocoa, also suffered critical injuries.

Cornejo and Vincent suffered minor injuries.

The crash scene was cleared about 7:15 a.m.
