Warren,OH : Bicyclist injured in Howland crash on December, Sunday 17th 2017

A bicyclist was treated at St. Joseph Warren Hospital for minor injuries after being hit by a car Sunday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
David Simmons, 60, of Warren was pedaling a Huffy bicycle east on North River Road, about a third of mile east of North Road, when a 2003 Nissan Morano driven by Tiffany Evans, 25, of Newton Falls, hit the bicycle in the rear, a patrol report states.

Simmons was thrown from the bicycle and landed off the right side of the roadway, according to the patrol.

Evans was cited for failing to maintain assured clear distance ahead, according to the patrol.
