Harrison Township, MI : 24-year-old Megan Helzer died in single-vehicle crash on EB I-94 near North River Road on Sunday, March 1, 2015

Police say 24-year-old Megan Helzer from Macomb Township was killed Sunday in a one-car crash on eastbound I-94.

The accident happened near North River Road at around 2:30 a.m. Witnesses told police that a silver 2005 Mazda 6 was driving at a high speed when the driver lost control of the car and hit the center concrete barrier.

Helzer, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Macomb police are continuing to investigate the incident.
