63-year–old Leslie Logan was killed yesterday in a car accident..

Inside Gregg's Restaurant in East Providence, there's an empty space at the table.

Where 63–year–old Leslie Logan would sit with her long time friends every other Friday, but her friends are instead meeting here to remember her.

On Wednesday, Logan was heading to Applebee's when she suddenly lost control of her minivan on the Wampanoag Trail.

She died at Rhode Island hospital.

Police are still investigating what caused Logan to flip her car, but her friends say she suffered from diabetes.

Logan taught in the East Providence school system for 35 years, before retiring at Orlo Avenue Elementary School in 2008.

She didn't have kids of her own..

Her friends and coworkers say her students were her life. “She didn't have her own children but we could probably tally over 2–thousand children in east providence that were her children, “ says Anita Demerus.
