Burns man dies in OR 205 motorcycle crash
Authorities are investigating the causes of afatal motorcycle crash in Burns, which critically injured a man Saturday evening along Oregon 205.
Preliminary findings show that 62-year-old James Reeves, from Burns, was traveling south on Oregon 205 when he crossed into the northbound lane and flipped his bike several times, coming to a rest in a bordering ditch off the highway.
Reeves, wearing a helmet at the time, was ejected from his bike. He was transported to Harney District Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.Authorities believe the crash happened 15 minutes before it was reported by a passing motorist at roughly 5:02 p.m. Saturday.
Oregon State Police, with assistance from the Harney County Sheriff's Office, is continuing the investigation.
