ANDERSON COUNTY, SC : Anderson County coroner responded to a crash on May, Saturday, 20th 2017

The Anderson County coroner responded to a crash along Highway 76 near Pendleton that killed one person and injured two others.

State troopers said the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday near Singleton Avenue.

According to troopers, a car headed east on Highway 76 lost control, crossed the center line and hit another vehicle.

The driver of the car that lost control died at the scene, while a passenger in the car was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the second car was injured and also taken to the hospital.

There is no update on the conditions of those injured in the crash.

This crash is under investigation by the coroner's office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
