A woman has died from her injuries after a car crashed into a Geauga County diner on Monday.

Ann Myers, 76, died at about 3:30 p.m., her family confirmed to newsnet5.

The car hit Washington Street Diner in Bainbridge at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday.

Bainbridge Fire Chief Brian Phan said the driver of a red SUV hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and crashed.

This is the second a car has hit the diner in the past two years.

Myers and an elderly woman, who were said to eat breakfast at the diner every Monday, were taken to the hospital.


The condition of the other woman is unknown at this time.
