Barton, VT : 23-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on late Saturday night September 6th 2014

Police say a speeding motorcyclist died in a crash late Saturday night. They say they clocked 23-year-old Philip Brown of Waterville going 90 mph in a 35 mph speed zone. They spotted him on Lake Region Road near the high school in Barton. Police say they followed the motorcycle onto Route 5, where they lost him. Shortly afterwards, the officer found Brown lying in the road near the Pine Crest Motel. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police are asking anyone who witnessed that crash to contact them.
