WYSOX TOWNSHIP, PA : A three-car accident on U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township on Wednesday, June 14, 2017
On Wednesday, a three-car accident on U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township sent one person to Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, a Wysox fire official said.
At the time of accident, which occurred in front of Corbett Motors, all three vehicles were traveling east on Route 6, Wysox Fire Chief Brett Keeney said.
Two of the cars stopped for the red light at the intersection of Craftmaster Road and Route 6, but the third car didn’t, he said.
The third car struck the vehicle in the middle, which was in turn pushed into the first vehicle, he said.
The driver of the third vehicle was transported to Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, he said.
No one else was injured in the accident, which occurred at approximately 11:05 a.m., he said.
Two of the vehicles had to be towed, he said.
Keeney said he did not know the name of the person who was transported to the hospital.
The state police, who investigated the accident, have not yet released information about it.
