Twin Falls,ID : Second driver dies in Filer sugar beet truck crash on December, Thursday 14th 2017

Two men died in a crash early Thursday involving a pickup hauling firewood and a sugar beet truck on U.S. 30 near Filer, Idaho State Police said.

About 2:20 a.m., Thomas Stowell, 27, was on U.S. 30 in a Dodge Ram pickup hauling a horse trailer full of firewood. Jason Roberts, 64, of Twin Falls, was eastbound in a semitrailer pulling two trailers of sugar beets.

Police say Stowell crossed left of the center line and collided head-on with Roberts.
