JACKSONVILLE, FL : Pedestrian killed in early morning crash on July, Sunday 9th 2017

A pedestrian struck by a car on the Northside early Sunday morning has died, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Daniel Boone, 28, of Atlantic Beach, was crossing Main Street at Cedar Bay Road at 1 a.m. when he was hit by a car driven by Jeanatte Guittar, 57, of Yulee, troopers said.

Boone was taken to UF Health Jacksonville, where he died. Guittar was not injured.

According to the police report, there could be charges filed, depending on the outcome of the investigation.
