Albuquerque, NM : La Planta man arrested after a three vehicle crash on Highway 574 near the Highway 70 intersection on Sunday, October 12, 2014

A La Planta man is accused of felony child abuse, DWI and reckless driving after a three-vehicle crash that injured four people. San Juan County Sheriff's officials said Monday that 31-year-old Robert Gagnebin has been booked into the County Detention Center. It's unclear if he has a lawyer yet. Witnesses say Gagnebin was driving a minivan at a high rate of speed about 2:45 p.m. Sunday failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 574 near the Highway 70 intersection. His vehicle became airborne and travelled into the opposing lane where the minivan hit a pickup truck head-on and it collided with a commercial truck hauling water. Gagnebin and his two passengers — ages 8 and 14 — were taken to a hospital along with two women from the pickup truck.
