One person is dead after a car crashed into a creek, according to the Greenville County Coroner.
Coroner Jeff Fowler said the car went down an embankment and into a small creek.
The incident happened at 2109 Poinsett Highway.
The coroner said a 50-year-old man was killed in the crash. According to the coroner, the driver had been traveling north on Poinsett Highway in an SUV when his vehicle left the roadway and traveled through the front yard of a residence before entering a creek.
The coroner said no one witnessed the crash, and that the victim's vehicle was noticed by another vehicle traveling on Poinsett Highway Saturday evening.
This case remains under investigation by the Greenville County Coroner's Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
