Two teens killed in car crash outside Opelika

An Opelika teenager and an Alexander City teen were killed in a car crash Sunday afternoon.

Just before 3 PM about 12 miles south of Opelika the two boys were killed when their jeep left the road and struck a tree.

Eighteen year-old Khadijah Rashaun Core of Opelika and 13 year-old Jaquon Tremble were pronounced dead at the scene at 6:30 PM.

A third person was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
