Akron, OH : Man walking in Akron road killed in weekend crash on Saturday October 24 2015

Police have released details from a weekend morning incident in which a man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking in the road.
It was around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when 51-year-old Byron Richardson was hit by a 2001 Mazda Protégé on South Portage Path near Hollinger Avenue.
Richardson was taken to Akron General Medical Center where he died at 12:55 p.m.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the incident, which remains under investigation.
