Elk River, MN : 36-year-old pedestrian killed in Highway 169 crash on Thursday, 7th February 2019

A 36-year-old man crossing Highway 169 in Elk River night was killed.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 17-year-old driver of a Honda CRV, identified as Andrew Hattling, of Elk River, was northbound on the highway at about 6:52 p.m. when the vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was crossing the highway just north of Main Street.

Authorities pronounced the pedestrian, identified as 36-year-old Garrett French of Elk River, dead at the scene.
