ASHEBORO, NC : Asheboro man injured in multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 64 and Oakgrove Road on Thursday, 27th September 2018

An Asheboro man is in critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning.

According to a press release from the N.C. State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the crash involving three vehicles at the intersection of U.S. 64 and Oakgrove Road at approximately 6:15 a.m.

A 2006 Ford van, driven by Jimmy Leon Lynch, 73, of Asheboro, was traveling south on Oakgrove Road.

A 2006 Volvo tractor-trailer, driven by Trey Emmett Dawson, 25, of Asheboro, was traveling west on U.S. 64. The tractor-trailer was operated by Waste Recovery Solutions and hauling a dumpster container.

A 2002 GMC pickup, driven by Tony Hillery Whitaker, 55, of Asheboro, was traveling east on U.S 64.
