Elsberry woman, 84, killed in Lincoln County crash

A woman from Elsberry was killed Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle accident in Lincoln County, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.Doris A. Farmer, 84, was driving west and attempting to cross Highway 61 from Highway B shortly after 10 a.m. when a minivan northbound on 61, driven by Gene W. Fox, 28, of Bowling Green, struck the driver's side of Farmer's car.Farmer was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
