Watseka, IL : Frankfort woman dead after downstate motorcycle crash in Iroquois County on Friday night, April 1, 2016

A southwest suburban woman was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night in Iroquois County.

Two motorcycles crashed on I-57 Southbound Mainline Rest Area at 6:23 p.m., according to Illinois State Police.

The 56-year-old motorcyclist and passenger Giedre M. Pysik, 51, were in the rest area on I-57 when a second motorcycle struck them from behind, according to state police.

Pysik, of Frankfurt, was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.
