A 57-year-old Scottsville man was killed in a one-vehicle collision late Sunday afternoon in the Town of Bergen, State Police report.
Charles R. Grower Jr. was driving a 2002 Ford eastbound on State Highway 262 when the vehicle exited the road and went onto the south shoulder before striking a utility pole, according to State Police. Grower was pronounced dead at the scene by Genesee County Coroner Thomas Miller.

The crash, which occurred around 4:20 p.m. at a location on NY-262 between Tripp and West Bergen roads, also required National Grid to respond, as power lines from the utility pole hung above the vehicle, and the company was needed to disconnect the power.
