Logan county , OH : one driver was killed in a Single Vehicle Crash after the car went off the left side of the road, into the median and struck a guardrail on Sunday Morning , January 11th 2015

A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Logan County.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Marysville Post responded to the crash around 7:12 a.m. on U.S. 33 just northwest of County Road 5 in Jefferson Twp.

A silver 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was driven by the lone occupant, 63-year-old Jay S. Garcia. He was traveling northwest when the car went off the left side of the road, into the median and struck a guardrail, according to OSHP.

Garcia was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, where he was pronounced dead.

Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors. The crash remains under investigation.
